Robert A. Heinlein's novel, "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress," is one novel I can
read over and over again. While reading the description of the Loonies'
attack on Earth with kinetic energy weapons, I realized that I could model what
he described Mannie O'Kelly saw when the first strike hit.
This is the result, and it all came together so correctly that I believe Heinlein
figured the geometry of the Earth, Moon and Sun on that date.
He is known to have spent considerable effort making sure that his writings
were physically correct.
As usual, there are stars in the full-scale print, but they do not appear in
these scaled-down images.
